In this final section we will take our pattern, put it into repeat as a background and then we will add stylized text frames and text. We will then use Adobe Illustrator to create the swatch legend. We will use the color files we previously made and a "script" that will create the swatch legend automatically for us! No typing, no sweat! We will need to download that script though. The render swatch legend script can be downloaded by clicking here: Render Swatch Legend
The step by step videos below will guide us through the completion of this section and course!
The first video in this series will get us started with a short introduction to this lesson (Section - 7). It provides vital information we need to start the project.
The next video will show us how to create the pattern repeat and the page title with stylization. This video is 6 minutes long. The time to complete the exercise: approximately 20 minutes.
In the video below we go into Adobe Illustrator to create our swatch legend. This is where we use the script that we just downloaded. The video is about 4 minutes long. The time to complete the exercise: approximately 20 minutes.
This video demonstrates how we create the background / frame for the swatch legend. We will also do some "layer management" for the presentation file we are working on. This will complete the first presentation group. This video is 4 approximately 4 minutes long. The exercise should take about 10 minutes.
This video shows us a method for "changing the repeat". This method will differ from the first method demonstrated. This is part of creating the second presentational group. This video is almost 5 minutes long. The exercise itself should take us about 10 - 15 minutes.
In the final video of this series, we will complete the lesson in section 7 of the recoloring patterns side of this course. We will convert our Photoshop document to multiple .pdf's which we will then combine into a single .pdf document. This video is 6 and a half minutes long.
